Local 16 DEI Committee Mission Statement

The IATSE Local 16 DEI Committee will work to advocate for a safe, inclusive and equitable environment for all Local 16 members regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, dependents, pregnancy or disability. 

This committee will support higher visibility and participation of members from historically underrepresented groups, in a way that moves beyond token representation. 

Through education, engagement,  outreach, mentorship, and professional development, the union promise of “a better life” can be achieved. 

We will be a union that provides pathways to success for all its members. 

We will be a union that recognizes and embraces our diversity. 

We will be a union to which all members feel they belong.
