Local 16 Web Function Invitation
Local 16 has launched a new web application that will allow all of those “Active” workers who have “Out of Work Privileges” in the local 16 database to update their availability and biographical information as well as to see the details of their past year’s employment and the details of any job on which they are currently booked.
To see the web application go to https://members.local16.org.
To log in, your user name will be your first initial, last name and the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. Your password for the first time you log in will be the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. The first time you log in you will be prompted to create a new password that only you will know. NOTE: if you are listed in the database as Joe Jones III, with a Social Security number of 123-12-1234, your user name will be … jjones III1234 (with a space between the “s” and the III). Do not use spaces for any other reason.
If you have questions about this or difficulty logging in, call the office to check how your name is listed or for any other help.
There are 4 tabs; Current Jobs, Bio, Availability and Job History. When you are in any part of the form simply scroll up to the top of the form to move to a different tab.
“Current jobs” will show you all the details you would normally get over the phone when being booked for a job. Simply click the job number to see the page.
“Bio” will allow you to update your personal information as it appears in the database. PLEASE NOTE: There are 2 new fields to fill in, SMS phone number and SMS carrier. If you fill these in Local 16 will be able to contact you via text messages. This will be very handy when there are changes on calls and other matters. By filling this out you are giving Local 16 permission to send you text messages and that you will accept whatever the charge is by your carrier to your account. For example: 415-555-5555 (preferred text message number) AT&T (SMS carrier). Please enter the number you prefer to receive text messages on and choose your carrier from the drop down menu – do not type your carrier into the field as it will not register. For security reasons changes in the Bio form will not update until posted by the office.
“Availability” will allow you to check to see that you are on the Out of Work List, to put yourself on the list, or to change your availability if your availability should change. Please be advised that the list is sorted chronologically by your “On the List Date” with those who have been on the list the longest at the top, and those who are most recently on the list nearer the bottom. PLEASE NOTE: if you log in and change your availability, it will change your “On the List Date” and you will go to the bottom grouping on the Out of Work List.
To check your availability:
Go to "Availability".
Under "Current Status": it will show
- You when you last updated your availability,
- When you will fall off the list
- The days you are available and not available
- IF "Current Status" IS BLANK, THEN YOU ARE NOT ON THE LIST!
Under that you will see “You can update your availability below:”
This box does NOT show you your availability. It is used to put your name on the list or update your availability. To do either you must:
- Choose your first available date
- Uncheck any days you are not available
- You may place a short note in the notes field (call back job numbers for example)
- CLICK “UPDATE”! If you do not click the “UPDATE” button it will not commit the information to the database.
After clicking “UPDATE”, you can scroll back up to the top and click “REFRESH” to be certain that the changes have been committed to the database.
“Job History” will allow you to go back one year to look at the job details for each job.
This has been a long time in development and we have made every effort to make changes to accommodate suggestions made by those who helped us Beta Test the site.
You can search this list by any data listed in the dispatch inventory – start date, employer, job number, job name…just enter it in the search box. When you do that it will open any job with that data in it.
If you have problems or suggestions, please email eddier@local16.org.
